A working station's dining room, not a function hall
Dinner is served in the Colonel's Homestead, built on the Walter Peak property in 1908 as a wedding gift for Colonel Peter Mackenzie and rebuilt after a fire in 1977. Walter Peak has run sheep since the late 1800s, and over the eighty years the Mackenzie family ran the station they built it up to around 40,000 sheep at its peak, with wool that won recognition at the Wembley Exhibition.
